The preparation and submission of documents for the second phase of the sub-measure for sustainable energy renovation of the residential building stock of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan has started. The procedure “Support for Sustainable Energy Renovation of the Residential Building Stock - Phase II” is now open for applications and the guidelines are published on the website of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works in the section “Projects under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan” as well as in the portal Information System for Management and Monitoring 2020.
The deadline for applications is 16.01.2024 and the funds under the procedure amount to 282 470 400 BGN with VAT. Approved buildings will receive up to 80% grant. Each Owners’ Association will have to provide a self-financing contribution of 20% of the eligible project costs.
The application documents are resubmitted through the municipal or district administrations. All multi-family residential buildings in the state managed under the Condominium Management Act and designed prior to April 26, 1999 are eligible.
The aim is to improve the energy performance of multi-family residential buildings and to reach energy consumption class “B”. It also aims to reduce the country’s energy consumption, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save 30% of primary energy for each site in the residential building stock, reduce energy poverty by reducing energy costs, improve living conditions and quality of life through technological renovation and modernisation of the building stock, etc.
