Minister Gagauzov inspected the repaired sections of the road Varvara – Velingrad which was opened for automobiles today. The second-rate route was damaged by the floods in August. The natural disaster caused serious harms on 11 route sections and made impossible the use of the shortest way from Sofia to Velingrad. The urgent reconstruction work has been carried out by Eco-hydro ltd. company, which has a signed contract for maintenance of the road net in Pazardjik district. The total amount of the completed reconstruction works on the second-rate route up to the present moment adds up to 550 000 lv. More reinforcing works on the repaired sections are at hand, as well as the building of new support walls and corrections of the Chepinska riverbed. Up to the present moment the round way to Velingrad passed through Batak and Rakitovo. Beginning of reconstruction works on the road through Tzigov Chark and Batak after automobiles be let to move through is at hand. On his visit in Pazardjik district the minister of regional development and public works Asen Gagauzov has examined also the damages of the road Velingrad – Sarnitsa. Road-construction companies carrying out the repairing works in the region gave the assurance that by the end of the month the traffic through Chepinska River Bridge in Sarnitsa area will be restored.
