Seven Companies Participate In the Tender for Supervision of the Vidin Flood Defense Wall

Seven companies submitted offers in the international open tender for consultants on the project for building of the defense wall against floods in Vidin. The procedure for selection of offers was announced in September. The consultant will supervise the construction works. The amount of the contract cannot exceed the sum of EUR 30 000. The building of the defense wall against floods in Vidin is a part of the implementation of the project “Protection of riverbank and coastline against erosion, water abrasion and related landslide processes”. The financing is ensured with means from a credit agreement between the Republic of Bulgaria and the Bank for Development to the Council of Europe. The construction of the site includes building of aprons and a new sector of the concrete defense wall as well as different preparation and digging works. The project includes coating of the Danube façade of the wall. The aim is that the wall be harmonized with the overall architectural appearance of the Baba Vida fortress. The contract for construction and supervision will be signed after the final of the tender procedures. Public Relations and International Activities Directorate
