“Panorama” landslide stabilization finishes within a month

The stabilization of the landslide Panorama will be finished within a month – promised today the contractors from “Transstroy plus” to the minister of regional development and public works Asen Gagauzov. The stabilization of the landslide is under project “Bulgaria – Protection of Riverbanks and Coastline from Erosion and Abrasion and Related Landslide Processes”. The value of the construction works now in process is almost EUR 2,8 mln without VAT. The project “Bulgaria – Protection of Riverbanks and Coastline from Erosion and Abrasion and Related Landslide Processes” is financed with EUR 25 million from the European Investment bank, EUR 15 million from the Council of Europe Development bank and EUR 14 million from the state budget. 10 landslides will be stabilized under “Bulgaria” project. The work on the landslides in Nessebar, Aheloy, Sarafovo and Kabakum area is accomplished. The landslides in the resort Slanchev Den and Panorama area are in executive phase. The contracts for construction and supervision are signed and stabilization of the landslide in St. Nikola area is at hand. Tender procedures for selection of a contractor for stabilization of the landslide in Trakata area are running at the moment. The stabilization of the landslide in “Kranevo – Kiparis” and the completion of the levee “Albena - Balchik” are to be let under tender procedures soon. Earlier this morning minister Gagauzov examined the road segment between Zahary Stoyanov and Spasovo villages in Dobrich district and demanded rehabilitation of the segment within a month. The road is 14 km long and was last repaired 35 years ago. The total amount of the repair works is expected to be 2,9 mln lv. Public Relations and International Activities Directorate
