Violeta Koritarova-Kasabova
Violeta Koritarova-Kasabova has a master's degree in geodesy, photogrammetry and cartography. She is qualified as an internal auditor of "Quality Management Systems", ISO 9001:2008.
A large part of her professional career is related to activities in the field of geodesy, cartography and cadastre.
At the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry, she worked on the design of a strategy for the consolidation of agricultural lands in Bulgaria and the implementation of five pilot projects, financed under the "Matra" program of the Netherlands, as well as under the "Cadastre and Property Registration" Project. She was the head of the process of creation and implementation of the System for the Identification of Agricultural Plots in the Republic of Bulgaria and the creation of an orthophoto map for the territory of the country.
As director of a directorate at the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre in the period of November 2009 - September 2014 and March 2015 - October 2016, she led and coordinated the activities in geodesy and cartography, organization of the Geocard Fund, as a specialized technical archive - part of the national archival fund for storage of cadastral, geodetic and other materials, organized and coordinated the integration of new information and geoinformation systems and the expansion of the functionality of the existing ones, as well as their interaction with the information systems of other departments and organizations.
From September 2014 to March 2015, she was the deputy executive director of the Agency.
From June 2018 to June 2023, she was the executive director of the Agency for Geodesy, Cartography and Cadastre. During this period, she worked to speed up the creation of a cadastral map in order to achieve full coverage of the country's territory. As a result, it is currently 97.43%, while in 2017 the cadastral map covered 60% of the country's territory.
Under her leadership, the Agency fully implemented its electronic services, and the established system of customer service, based not only on reducing queues, but also with a focus on the quality of the service and the time for its provision, it relieves citizens and businesses. Interdepartmental administrative electronic services with the ministries, regional administrations, municipalities, judicial bodies and notaries have also been implemented.
Violeta Koritarova-Kasabova also held various positions in the Ministry of Education and Science, where she participated in the organization and implementation of the investment policy planning activity related to the major repair, reconstruction and modernization of the facilities in the system of the Ministry of Education and Science.
