Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov to Visit Ilinden Border Checkpoint

On 19.09.2005, Monday, Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Asen Gagauzov will make a working visit to Blagoevgrad district. He will visit Ilinden Border Checkpoint now under construction and will examine at place the readiness for releasing in exploitation of the checkpoint. The building of the border checkpoint “Ilinden - Exohy” is under implementation of an agreement between the two governments of Bulgaria and Greece from 1995 for opening of three new border checkpoints. The project includes building of a new access road, border checkpoint and a tunnel. The financing is under Phare program – Trans-border cooperation with Greece and from the state budget.
