Minister Komitova and the Mayor of Byala - Dimitar Slavov discussed the project for repair of the bridge of Kolyo Ficheto over the Yantra River

The Minister of Regional Development and Public Works - arch. Violeta Komitova held a meeting with the mayor of Byala municipality, Rousse district, Dimitar Slavov. The two discussed the project for the repair of the Kolyo Ficheto Bridge / Belenski Bridge / over the Yantra river. The facility, declared a cultural monument of national importance, is to be renovated with funds from the Operational Program "Regions in Growth" 2014-2020 managed by the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works.

The total value of the investment costs of the project is a little over BGN 9.5 million and complete improvement of the area around the bridge. Equipment for a spectacular 3D mapping show and other attractions will be delivered to turn the municipality into a tourist destination.

The mayor assured that he is fully ready to start the construction activities, waiting for the final approval of the documentation by the National Institute for Immovable Cultural Heritage.

Minister Komitova congratulated the mayor and the residents of Byala municipality on the occasion of the 130th anniversary of the settlement, the celebrations of which will be held in early July.
