Minister Gagauzov Opened the Repaired Road “Debrashtitsa Village – Batak Dam – Tsigov Chark“

Minister Gagauzov opened today the repaired under the project “Roads Access to Tourism Sites” road section “Debrashtitsa Village – Batak Dam –Tsigov Chark”. This is the completion of the construction works on Lot 2 of the project, funded under the PHARE Programme - ESC in the Ministry Of Regional Development and Public Works.
Three road segments in Pazardjik district with total length of 32 km have been rehabilitated on Lot 2 of the project: Debrashtitsa Village – Batak Dam –Tsigov Chark, Orpheus Hut - Tsigov Chark area and Kalugerovo village - St. Nikola Monastery.
The total amount of the construction works is ? 3 275 200.
A contractor on the project is the joint venture “Tracia”, and a supervisor is the Spanish firm TIPSA, in partnership with the Bulgarian “Controls” AD.
Under the project “Roads Access to Tourism Sites” has been carried out the rehabilitation of four-rated municipality roads in order to be improved the access to places of tourist interest in North-East and South Central Bulgarian regions.
The total length of the repaired roads is 146 km, divided in 4 lots – 2 for the North-East and 2 for the South Central Bulgarian regions.
Except on Lot 2 have already been finished the construction works on Lot 4, which includes 6 road segments in the districts of Varna, Dobrich and Silistra.
The works on the six road sections in the districts of Smolyan, Haskovo and Kardjali, being part of Lot 1 and on the six road sections in the districts of Shoumen, Razgrad and Targovishte – parts of Lot 3 - are still in progress.
