Minister Asen Gagauzov Has Spoken With Representatives of the “Union of the Road Engineers and Consultants”

Minister Asen Gagauzov has spoken with representatives of “Union of the Road Engineers and Consultants”. It unites professionals of the road construction branch and aims to encourage the measures for stable development of the transport infrastructure in the Republic of Bulgaria. At the meeting were discussed questions concerning the status of the road engineers in Bulgaria under the conditions of the forthcoming accession in the EU and the expected globalization of the national road infrastructure in the period 2006 – 2015. MRDPW will assist the Union for the establishment of independent status of the designers and consultants in the sphere of road construction and for the achievement of internationally recognized level of quality in the road construction design and the control of construction and rehabilitation works. The Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works and the non-commercial organization will cooperate in the development of expert standpoints on existing technical normative documents in the area as well as in the actualization of the technical normative basis and its harmonization with the Euro codes.
