INTERREG VI-A Greece-Bulgaria 2021-2027
The territorial scope of the INTERREG VI-A Greece-Bulgaria 2021-2027 programme is identical to the previous programme periods, namely: the districts of Haskovo, Smolyan, Kardzhali and Blagoevgrad on the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria and the regions of Evros, Xanthi, Rhodope, Drama, Kavala, Thessaloniki and Seres for the territory of the Republic of Greece.
The total budget of the Programme is 83,953,681 euros, of which 67,162,945 euros (80%) is provided by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and 16,790,736 euros (20%) is national co-financing from the countries participating in the programme.
The programme finances projects under three priorities as follows:
- Priority 1 – A more sustainable and green cross-border region (PO2 Greener Europe)
- Priority 2 – A more accessible cross-border region (PO3 A better connected Europe)
- Priority 3 – A more inclusive cross-border region (PO4 A more social and inclusive Europe)
The target groups and main types of beneficiaries are national, regional and local authorities, as well as non-governmental public and private organizations and commercial companies.
