Within the next two weeks the Detailed Development Plan of Europe Motorway in the part from Slivnitsa to the Northern Expressway will be approved. This becomes possible after the Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Ivan Shishkov and the Mayor of Kostinbrod Trayko Mladenov signed an Arrangement Protocol for the construction of road connections in the direction of Petarch-Sofia and Sofia-Petarch at the road junction Petarch at km 33+160 of the Europe Motorway.
The signing of the Memorandum of Understanding commits that once the draft Detailed Development Plan for the section from Slivnitsa to the Northern Expressway is approved and comes into force, the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works will allow the amendment of the Detailed Development Plan. This will enable the construction of road connections in the direction of Petarch-Sofia and Sofia-Petarch at km 33+160 of the motorway.
