6,682,187 Dollars Used so Far in 10,600,561 (pre-VAT) Dollar Project for Repair of Hainboaz Pass

A total of 6,682,187 dollars have been used so far in 10,600,561 dollar (pre-VAT) project for repair of the Hainboaz Pass. “It is very important for me that the project is completed within the contracted deadline,” Regional Development and Public Works Minister Valentin Tserovski said during an inspection of the repair works at Hainboaz Pass, or the Pass of the Republic. The project is being implemented under the Transit Road III programme and includes reconstruction of 29.683 km of road on a mountain terrain. It entails extremely complex engineering operations, most of which is reconstruction and new construction, plus some rehabilitation operations. Contractor of the repairs is the Putni Stroezhi LOT 6a Consortium, which won an international competition for the project. Consultant is Mot MacDonald.
